Guard Concrete Ltd. is a federally incorporated concrete contractor based in Mississauga, led by a finisher with 10 years of experience. Our focus is walkway concrete for public and institutional owners: sidewalks, ramps, curbs and repairs. We handle each job start to finish, from removal and forming to placing, finishing, cutting and sealing, and we supply experienced finishers so general contractors hit their pour dates.

How do I get a quote?

What affects the price?
Area and thickness, site access and preparation, reinforcement, concrete strength, finish, demolition or removal, season, and permits or locates. Every quote states what is and is not included.
How long is a quote valid?
Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the quote date.
How soon can I use new concrete?
As a general guide, light foot traffic after about 24 to 48 hours and vehicles after about 7 days, with full strength at 28 days. Weather and the concrete mix change this, so we confirm timing for your job.
Do you work in cold weather?
Cold weather affects concrete. We plan winter pours case by case with the protection needed, which can affect schedule and price.
Who handles permits and utility locates?
It depends on the project. Your quote states who is responsible for permits, locates and engineering.
Do you work with general contractors and public owners?
Yes. We follow site safety rules and can provide safety documentation on request.
Can you add finishers to our crew?
Yes. We supply experienced concrete finishers for pours and finishing work on your site, by the day or for a project stage.
How do holdback and payment work on construction projects?
On projects covered by Ontario's Construction Act, we invoice by stage or monthly and follow the Act's holdback and prompt payment rules. Homeowner jobs usually follow the deposit and completion terms on the quote.
